Neon pink

Krúttlegar salatskálar sem fást hér. Ég er rosalega hrifin af "half-painted" hlutum og held að það sé lítið mál að gera sjálfur svona heima. Þetta er allavega einföld og skemmtileg leið til að lífga upp á venjulegar skálar. Cute salad bowls that you can buy here. I really like "half-painted" stuff, and I think it's really easy to do it yourself. It's a simple and fun way to make regular salad bowls look better.

DIY: Art on plywood

Frábær hugmynd. Það sem þú þarft er: Krossviður, skrúfur og myndir til að hengja á. Platan er söguð í þá stærð sem fólk kýs og hengd á vegginn með skrúfum. Auðvelt er að festa myndir, póstkort eða hvað sem er á plötuna með límbandi, kennaratyggjói eða öðru. Þetta er sniðug hugmynd að því leyti að platan gefur einhvers konar ramma og gefur hlýleika.

Great idea. What you need is: Plywood board, screws and pictures to hang. You start by cutting the board into the desired size and hang it on the wall with screws. It's easy to attach pictures, postcards or whatever with adhesive tape or pins.

Update: I stumbled upon another great idea that doesn't involve the screws. How cute is this!

Lerberg

Eins og flestir Íslendingar er ég mikill IKEA-aðdáandi. Það er ótrúlegt hvað hægt er að finna marga fallega hluti þar, og þessi hilla er engin undantekning. Hún er í LERBERG línunni og fæst hér. Ég er mjög hrifin af opnu rými þegar kemur að eldhúsinu og því finnst mér hún tilvalin í það.

Like most Icelandairs I'm a big IKEA-fan. It's unbelievable how many pretty things you can find there, and this shelf is no exception. I really like open spaces, especially in the kitchen, so I'm very fond if this idea.
